As more and more people turn to the outdoors to get away, more vehicles are being outfitted for adventure. With the success of the Traverse HD, we noticed an increase in demand as the market for CUV and SUV adventure vehicles has emerged. Listening to our customers, we developed a high offset version of the Traverse, the Traverse MX, to fit a number of vehicles that are now being built with mountain trails in mind. From the Volkswagen Atlas and Tiguan to the Subaru Outback and Forester, the Traverse MX is the perfect adventure wheel for vehicles that will see use on and off the road.
Like its HD predecessor, the Traverse MX utilizes our "Rock Ring" technology to strengthen the tire bead and provide protection for the valve stem.
From start to finish, our line of MX wheels are designed with adventure in mind. Like you, we find joy in escaping the daily grind and getting out on the trails, so we know how important it is that wheels are able to get you there and back without any hinderance. Whether its our own trucks, or a customer's truck, Fifteen52 MX wheels are wheels that we know we can put our trust in, and out in the wilderness, that's what matters.
At Fifteen52 we like to do things differently, so as we began designing the Traverse wheel, we explored new ways to approach the simulated beadlock often found on wheels in the off-road market. The result is our Rock Ring, a ring that runs around the circumference of the wheel lip and is CNC Machined with our signature Turbo Vanes. The Rock Ring still provides protection to keep the valve stem from being damaged on rocks and it adds rigidity to the bead for any potential hard hits that may come on the trail. The Turbo Vanes cut down on weight around the lip, where weight reduction matters most.
Whether your vehicle is loaded up with gear for a long week of camping, towing your toys for a weekend at the lake, or simply enduring your daily commute, Fifteen52 MX wheels are up to the task. In engineering our wheels, we made sure that their load ratings are more than enough for whatever work your vehicle may be tasked with. All Traverse MXs are rated at 1,834 Lbs per corner.
With our roots in performance sports car wheels, we're familiar with the need for brake clearance, so as we approached our MX line of wheels, we held the same priorities. A bell-shaped barrel has been utilized to provide as much clearance as possible for larger brake packages that are now found on cars and trucks.
All Fifteen52 wheels utilize 60-degree tapered lug seats and will work with any standard lug hardware.
TPMS sensors have become commonplace on modern vehicles and during the design phase, we ensure that all of our wheels accept factory TPMS sensors. Fifteen52 Wheels are designed to accept standard valve stems. For a custom 52 touch, customers are welcome to order a set of Fifteen52 Aluminum Valve Stems with their wheel orders.
