A Nod to the Classic Look We Loved about Previous Generation Broncos

Meet John Pangilinan’s 2021 Ford Bronco Outerbanks in a custom Boxwood Green color that was featured on past generations of classic Ford Broncos. Revealed at Toyo Tires famous Treadpass area at SEMA in 2021, this award winning Bronco gives a nod to the classic Bronco styling many of us have loved over the years. Being a true SoCal resident, John built his 6th Generation Bronco for some serious beach-goer adventures, without going too overboard on modifications. Just enough to make it truly unique, yet usable for day-to-day life. Even adding an Almond Surfboard (that happens to match the Boxwood Green color), and a custom color-matched Super73 S2 Electric Bike mounted on the rear – the entire build just screams beach day heaven. While we’re a huge fan of this modern day rendition of a classic style, the vehicle itself is built for just about any adventure John wants to go on. Whether it’s snow, desert trails or the sandy shores southern california is known for. Lightly and tastefully modified, let’s get into the Boxwood Green Bronco John has built (so far).

Exterior

Like we mentioned previously, this Bronco build has a custom Boxwood Green paint job, with the grill being paint-to-match with the wheels by Strassesport. The Ford OEM heavy-duty modular bumper is on the front, with Baja Designs Fog Pocket Light kit mounted below. A Borla Exhaust was added as well to give a bit more of a rugged sound. For suspension, John chose Eibach’s Stage 2 PRO-TRUCK Coilover System to help it clear whatever he may need. Wheels and Tires feature our classic steelie inspired wheel, Analog HD in 17x8.5” 6x139.7 ET0 – wrapped in Toyo Open Country A/T III Tires in 35x12.5R17.

Interior

The first thing you’ll notice on this custom bronco build when you open the door is the beautiful Katzkin Tuscany Leather and Upholstery. Followed by Diono Radian 3QXT+ Car Seats, Seat Protectors and Organizers – that way John can get his kids to and from the Beach in comfort and style. A Next Base 422 Dash Camera has been added to the front windshield to protect himself for whatever crazy thing happens in life, as well as Scosche accessories for him to mount his phone.

After a long day of enjoying the SoCal beaches, you’ll want something cool to drink – so John has, In the trunk, a Dometic Powered CFX3 45 cooler and Goose Gear Ice Box, Tailgate Table, with a Rear Plate system. To not drain the Broncos own battery to recharge phones, coolers, ect., John has a Goal Zero Yeti 1500X Portable Power Station and Solar Panels as well. As well as Pelican BX50 cargo boxes to organize and carry any additional items he may need.
